A personal note from Bonnie: Everyone has their own definition of getting up early, and just what is "early" for them. On a dairy farm, "early" means, the sooner you get up, the sooner you finish your work. Personally, I am a 4-5 am riser.....when few others are up, the phone is quiet, and I usually watch the sun come up as I am working. This brilliant sky, is typical of midwest mornings one might see in the middle of December or January.
